What you'll gain

The confidence to act

Gain practical tools to handle aggression, threats, and high-pressure situations, based on methods from psychology and real-world security experience. You'll leave the course knowing what to do, not just what to avoid.

A shared language around safety

When teams share a common understanding of threats and conflict, people speak up earlier and situations are resolved before they escalate. For organisations, this means stronger culture and clearer accountability. For individuals, it means feeling less alone when things get difficult.

Fewer incidents, less stress

Organisations that train proactively see measurable drops in sick leave, staff turnover, and security costs. On a personal level, knowing how to respond reduces the anxiety and stress that come with feeling unprepared and that makes a real difference in your working day.

Workplace threats and violence: A growing challenge

EU law requires employers to act.

The scale of the problem

workers worldwide have experienced violence or harassment in the workplace.

(ILO / Gallup, 2022)

workers across Europe reported exposure to adverse social behaviour at work — including verbal abuse, threats, bullying, harassment, and violence.

(European Working Conditions Survey, 70,000 interviews across 36 countries, 2021)

of workers in high-risk sectors — including healthcare, social services, and education — are directly affected by work-related violence.

(Scandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2025)

Training is one of the most effective ways to reduce these numbers.

When people know how to recognise early warning signs, de-escalate situations, and follow clear protocols, incidents decrease and perceived safety increases dramatically.

Without the right training, your organisation risks:

  • Higher sick leave and staff turnoverdriven by insecurity and stress
  • Reputational damage, as preventable. incidents erode trust
  • Regulatory non-compliance, as employers are legally required to assess and mitigate these risks
  • Increased costs, including security interventions, rehabilitation and lost productivity
  • Employee harm and trauma, both physical and psychological
